Live coverage: Globe reporters in Toulouse and Jerusalem

  • Here's the latest:

    -Police are surrounding the apartment building of the man suspected of carrying out a series of shootings that killed three children, a rabbi and three soldiers over the last two weeks in Toulouse.

    -Interior Minister Claude Guéant said Wednesday that the man, who has been identified by French media as Mohammed Merah, 24, said he will turn himself in this afternoon.

    -An official told the Associated Press that French police plan to storm the building shortly if Mr. Merah doesn't surrender.

    -Both the suspect and his brother are known to French counter-terrorism officials as people with 'radical beliefs,' Mr. Guéant said.
